I love a good cheeseburger, but I do not always have time to grill one up. Plus, a traditional cheeseburger can be pretty high in calories. While I definitely do not mind indulging in a good burger here and there, I wanted to find a quicker and slightly healthier way to enjoy the flavors.

This Cheeseburger Salad Bowl comes together in minutes and tastes like you are enjoying a juicy burger. And it is only 330 calories! My husband and I loved it so much, it has become one of our go-to easy weeknight meals.

To make the recipe, you need all the traditional burger toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese. Feel free to get creative, though, and add others.

What makes this salad so great, is the “dressing”. All the favorite burger condiments come together to create a “special sauce” for this salad. This recipe combines mayo, ketchup, and mustard with pickle juice and spices. It may sound like an odd combination, but trust me, it is delicious! If you are not a fan of one of the condiments, adjust the quantity slightly so another ingredient shines through more.

The nutritional value will vary greatly depending on the ingredients, so you may need to recalculate depending on what ingredients you select. This salad was filling enough on its own so no need to whip up any sides to go with it. You will definitely want to add this recipe to your list of quick, healthy, and delicious go-to meals!

All the flavors of a burger dressed up as a salad!

Ingredients

For the burger meat

  • 1 pound ground beef, (can use ground turkey)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • salt & pepper, (to taste)

For the dressing

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

For the salad

  • lettuce, (I used butter lettuce)
  • chopped tomatoes
  • diced onion
  • diced pickles
  • shredded cheese

Instructions

  • 1)

Using a medium sized skillet, brown the beef and spices over medium-high heat. Break the beef up as it cooks. Cook through. Drain grease as needed.

  • 2)

While the beef is cooking, combine all ingredients for the dressing into a small bowl. Mix well.

  • 3)

When the dressing is mixed and the beef is browned, assemble your salad. Start by adding your lettuce to a bowl, top with the meat, add tomatoes, onion, pickles, and cheese. Drizzle dressing on top. Enjoy!
