Years ago, I ordered an Almond Crusted Goat Cheese Salad from Sophia’s Restaurant in Columbia, Missouri and my love of goat cheese blossomed. I spent many days dreaming about this salad and eventually started making my own versions. I have yet to master the almond crusted version, but I have developed a delicious and simple fried goat cheese.

When having salad for dinner, I want to elevate it beyond just tossing some ingredients together and drowning it in dressing. This simple fried goat cheese, will turn any regular salad into a gourmet meal!

Not wanting salad? No problem! You can quickly whip these up and dip them into some marinara sauce for a fun appetizer!

When making salad, we use a mixed green as the base, then add whatever fun toppings we have on hand. Most often we include several of the following: edamame, corn, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, cucumbers, onions, bell peppers, croutons, and dressing.
